I am sure this felt like the longest week for Year 6 but it the end of it is finally here… Happy Friday!
As a treat for all their early mornings and hard work, today we had a chill-out day so out came the jogging bottoms and hoodies and in came the beanbags!
We began the morning with some fun games in Spanish with Senorita Martin before having a good catch up on the playground in the sunshine.

Obviously every child in Year 6 was awarded class superstar this week as each and everyone of them have made us all incredibly proud.
After superstars, we got comfy on the beanbags, dished out the popcorn and took advantage of the well deserved rest as we watched Maleficent!

Unfortunately, not everyone managed to see it through to the end… Did they, Lisy?

Thank you to all the parents for sending in some delicious treats – We spent the afternoon replenishing our sugar levels that had been drained throughout the week in preparation for the afternoon’s talent show!

Mrs Elkins continued to fill her belly as we prepared to be dazzled by an array of talents…

First up were Louis, Jack, Owen, Ryan, Ciaran and Joe who busted out a dance off to the melodies of Keon and his guitar.

Up next were Rafae and Kayden – aka Rafden – who entertained us with a few of their best jokes…

Georgina, Lisy and Ella then showed off their flexibility with a gymnastics dance routine…

Malaika showed off her artistic talents as we were left guessing to try and win a lollipop or two!

Ethan continued to keep the audience entertained with another joke or two

Whilst Luke sung and rapped his way through his own rendition of Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See you again’.

Andy entertained us and really got the audience involved with his A-Z impressions…

Harry the hypnotist managed to put Mrs Elkins into a trance which led to her crawling around on all fours barking like a dog!

These four girls choreographed and performed a lovely dance routine showing off each of their talents.
#
Issy and Nathalie then performed another dance routine as a duo with a range of brave moves!

The last dance routine of the afternoon was put together by Rosaleen and Keavy who even included a lift in their performance

Next up were Houdini Hector and his mischievous puppet Mia…

Last but not least, we were entertained by this trio who inventively put together this piece where songs were part of real life contexts.

Dylan, Drew and Conrad became our deserving winners in our talent contest but there was definitely some stiff competition. Regardless, everyone who took part did a fantastic job – it was a perfect end to the week with so much laughter whilst reminding each other of our other hidden talents.
Once again, well done Year 6! Have a lovely weekend spending time with friends and family, eating, sleeping, playing, laughing and resting.
See you Monday!
Mrs H 🙂
