School Opening Times (Mon-Fri, Term time only)
8:30am – Gates open
Children enter the school building and classrooms from 8:30am. From this point teaching staff are in classrooms and morning activities/work take place. Children self-register as they arrive in the classroom.
8:45am – Gates closed
Children arriving in classrooms between 8:45 and 9:00am are classed as late before the close of register (Code L).
9:00am – Register closes
Children arriving after 9:00am are recorded as late after the close of register (Code U) and lose their morning session attendance mark.
Morning break – 15 minutes at separate times for Yrs 1-3 and Yrs 4-6
12:00-1:00pm – Lunch time (KS1)
12:10-1:00pm – Lunch time (KS2)
Optional afternoon break for KS1 – 10 minutes
3:00pm – Gates open for parents to wait for children to be dismissed
Reception and Years 1-4 are dismissed from their classroom external doors, Years 5 and 6 are dismissed via the school hall/driveway
3:15pm – Children are dismissed
Weekly Total School Hours – 32 hours 30 minutes
(33 hours 45 minutes including morning activity time)
