Congratulations to the football team as they managed to beat a very determined St Osburg’s side 4 – 2 yesterday and remain unbeaten for the season.
The pitch wasn’t in the best of conditions but this didn’t stop the boys trying to play good football, creating lots of chances early in the game. These chances finally resulted in Jack scoring a fantastic team goal which was shortly followed by Ewan after a superb through ball from Kayden. The defence remained strong throughout the first half with James making some crucial tackles meaning we went in at half time two nil up.
The team had a few changes at half time with children playing in positions they were not used to. This meant that we allowed St Osburg’s back into the game as they scored early in the half. Any nervousness this created though was soon gone as Tyler and Owen both scored to make the score 4 – 1. St Osburg’s then scored a great goal late on but luckily it only turned out to be a cancellation goal.
Well done everyone and thanks to all the parents and grandparents that came along and supported the team.
