Our Gardeners have been working hard and had great fun making bird feeders from using pine cones, fat/lard and bird seeds. The children had to squash the lard into the grooves of the pine cone then push the seeds into it. String or wool was used to attach it to a tree. This makes a great bird feeder which can be made at home as well. Why not give it a go yourself?
The children then watered plants in the poly tunnel and had a brainstorm of ideas for what fruit and vegetables we can grow. They came up with lots of exciting ideas which we look forward to planting in the future.
