Our trip to Alton Castle is only four days away! Here is some last minute information and reminders about the trip:
- The weather is forecast to be extremely cold. Please ensure your child has lots of layers and warm clothes. Hats and gloves are essential. I would recommend bringing at least two pairs of gloves and lots of socks in case they get wet.
- If you have indicated that your child suffers from travel sickness on their medical form, please hand medication into the office. You will be asked to fill in a form to give us permission to administer the medication.
- If your child is bringing any other medication with them, a form needs to be filled in for this too. Please see the office.
- Children are to come to school in All Souls’ tracksuits on Monday.
- As children arrive at school on Monday morning, they should bring their luggage and sleeping bags (which must be clearly labelled) into the school hall.
- In addition to their sleeping bag, they may bring a blanket if they wish to due to the cold weather. No hot water bottles though please!
- Please ensure that every item of clothing is labelled with your child’s name.
- Any packed lunches for Monday should come in disposable packaging (so we have no lunch boxes left in school whilst we are away). Hot dinners will be as normal.
- The children will leave for Alton at approximately 2.00pm. You are more than welcome to come to school to wave goodbye as they set off on their great adventure!
- The maximum amount of money that your child should bring for the tuck shop is £8.00 This should be in a purse/safe container labelled with your child’s name and should be in change where possible. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for your child’s money.
- No electrical equipment of any description is permitted (mobile phones, digital cameras, hairdryers, straighteners etc.).
- The children will arrive at Alton at about 4 pm (depending on traffic). I will let the school office know and put it on the school website when we have arrived and settled.
- We will return at approximately 4pm on Wednesday. I will update the school/website if we are running late.
- I will try to update the website whilst we are there. However, please do understand that signal is limited and we will be very busy!
