Another fabulous trip to Planet Ice was enjoyed by Year 5 and 6 today as they bravely took to the ice (some of them for their very first time!).
Whilst some children spent most of their time on their bottoms, others transformed into semi-professionals! Every child (and adult!) showed great perseverence and resilience. Their behaviour was fabulous and lots of fun was had. They should be very proud of themselves.
On Friday, as a treat for surviving such a busy term, Year 6 are invited to come into school in their pyjamas (Christmas theme welcomed but not essential!) for a nice chilled last day before the holidays.

What a wonderful way for Mrs Ellis to spend her last afternoon with All Souls’! Happy Retirement Mrs Ellis! X
To complete our curriculum theme ‘Heroes and Villains’, we are taking Year 6 on a day out into Coventry town centre. On Thursday 20th we will be visiting the Herbert Art Gallery to participate in a Coventry at War workshop before exploring the Cathedral ruins and popping into the Coventry Transport Museum to walk through their Blitz-themed area.
We will be leaving school at 9am to walk into town and aim to return to school by 3.15pm. Please ensure that children come into school with a waterproof coat in case the weather is against us. We also ask that all children bring with them their packed lunch in disposable packaging and a water bottle.
This trip is being subsidised by the school and therefore will come at no cost to yourselves.
If you would rather your child did not take part in this trip, please let me know so that alternative arrangements can be made.

Year 6 sang the afternoon away at Maudslay today entertaining friends and family with some Christmas carols! Thank you to all those who were able to join us.
We will also be going to The Village on Thursday afternoon to repeat the performance at 1.30pm if you wish to join us then!

We could not be any more proud of Year 6 for the resilience, respect and responsibility they have shown during their time in Dol y Moch. We are all packed and fed and are due to leave on time at 9am. Therefore we expect to return to Coventry sometime between 1 – 1.30 pm. I will keep you updated.
Group F managed to find their way around a lake independently before tucking into ice cream after creating some imaginative beach artwork!
