Thank you so much to all have already donated to our Reverse Advent Calendar – supporting Father Hudson Charity with hygiene products for those in need.
There is still time to donate, if you haven’t yet and would like to. I will be dropping all of our donations over next Thursday (19/12/24) so there is a week left! Please give generously.
A special thank you to Bertie and Sara’s family who have given so generously to our appeal already.
We thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon with our parents and carers by inviting them to join us at our advent prayer service and crafting event. As part of our preparations for Christmas we talked about what our hopes are and if we had one wish for the festive season what it would be. The children hoped for many things ranging from a white Christmas; to hearing less Mariah Carey songs; to hoping to spend more time with friends and family and for loved ones, who are no longer with us, to be able to join them one last time for Christmas dinner. It was lovely to hear so many thoughtful and heart-warming reflections.
The children then spent some time creating a bauble wreath to take home as a reminder of the season of advent. We had some wonderful creations in-spite of the tremendous amount of baubles required for the event!
Most importantly the children spending time with those closest to them and we really hope that you enjoyed the afternoon! Thank you so much for taking the time to join us and for those who were unable to make it; we hope that you will look fondly on your handmade bauble wreath for years to come!
Advent Day
No Pens Day!
We are taking part in No Pens Day! On Wednesday 27th November, All Souls is excited to be joining many other schools around the UK for a chatty day of fun and fundraising. This is where we need your help!
As part of No Pens Day, we are asking each pupil to bring an item of their choosing and tell their peers about it as part of the biggest-ever show and tell! This will give your child a chance to practise their communication skills, listen and talk to others in their class about something that matters to them. Here are some ideas to help your child prepare
We are also asking each pupil to bring in £1 for the children’s charity Speech and Language UK. These vital funds will help raise awareness about the 1 in 5 children in the UK with speech and language challenges. You can either give £1 to your child to bring in or click here to make a donation online. (Don’t forget to write our school in the donation message!) You can also donate by scanning this QR code:
Together, we can give every child struggling with talking and understanding words the skills they need to face the future with confidence.
Thank you for your continued support.
The children in Year 6 proudly represented our school in Coventry’s Remembrance Service today.
Well done to Grace, Joachim and Anaiya who read their poem in front of the cenotaph beautifully, loud and clear.
