NSPCC Number Day

We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in Number Day on

Friday 7 February 2025.

Everything the NSPCC does protects children today and prevents
abuse tomorrow. The NSPCC need our support more than ever. By raising money, we can help to fund their vital services such as Childline – the helpline that’s always there for children and young people whatever their problem or concern. On average, a child contacts Childline every 45 seconds.

We will be taking part in Dress up for Digits and having a fun day of maths activities. Children are asked to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!). Or get even more creative by dressing in a maths or numbers theme, design your own t-shirt, hat, or even become a human sized calculator or dice!

To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for donations, and we’d love everyone in the school to take part in this special event. Please donate via GiftT. You can find the QR code below to help us support the NSPCC.

We’re really looking forward to all the fun of Number Day, and we really appreciate your support. All the money we raise at All Souls will make an enormous difference to children today and help the NSPCC be there for children tomorrow.

Year 4’s Shopping Trip

Year 4 have been out to buy ingredients today for our pizza making!

Well done to all children for fantastic behaviour in the shop and a big thank you to adult volunteers for helping with our walk and preparing pizza dough afterwards.

An extra thank you to the Morrisons staff who kindly gave each child a pack of mince pies to take home!

Reverse Advent Calendar

No Pens Day

No Pens Day!

We are taking part in No Pens Day! On Wednesday 27^th November, All Souls is excited to be joining many other schools around the UK for a chatty day of fun and fundraising. This is where we need your help!

As part of No Pens Day, we are asking each pupil to bring an item of their choosing and tell their peers about it as part of the biggest-ever show and tell! This will give your child a chance to practise their communication skills, listen and talk to others in their class about something that matters to them. Here are some ideas to help your child prepare

Point out some topics to help children connect with what they could talk about. For example: “You know a lot about space. Perhaps you could do a space-themed show and tell?”
Examples – Give your children lots of ideas for what they might like to bring in or talk about. An object from home, a photograph or a favourite outfit! This could be about imaginary ideas as well. Perhaps they’d like to draw a picture to show – or chat about a favourite character, unicorn or sea monster.

Name some people or places your children could tell the class about. For older children this could be someone inspirational they’ve learnt about at school. Their object could be a figure, a book, a postcard or a map.

We are also asking each pupil to bring in £1 for the children’s charity Speech and Language UK. These vital funds will help raise awareness about the 1 in 5 children in the UK with speech and language challenges. TTRS House Group Battle

Times Tables Rockstars!

Although this has been set as homework for Key Stage 2 children, children in Key Stage 1 are also more than welcome to join in. This is a house group effort and all those who have contributed to the winning team’s score will receive extra play time after the competition has closed.
