We celebrated our first family Mass this Sunday with the theme ‘Love and Correction’. It was lovely to see so many of our families there; our family masses will be celebrated on the first Sunday of every month.
Thank you to our Year 6 readers and altar servers who were wonderful role models.
Today, we came together as a whole school to celebrate in our first school mass of the academic year. We prayed for those affected by the earthquake and how even in the darkest of times, we are blessed.
Thank you again to our readers and altar servers in KS2 and all the families who joined us today.
Today we celebrated International Literacy Day to highlight the importance of literacy and raise awareness for education as a human right.
We took a moment to consider how grateful we are to have our wonderful school and teachers to help us to learn to read and write before taking our class book outside and reading together on the field to share this wonderful gift together.
Welcome back to all our children and families.
We are so excited to welcome all our children and families to back to school for the new academic year. We look forward to hearing all about your summer break and the memories made as well as welcoming our new starters in Nursery and Reception and their families who are joining the All All Souls community this year.
We are confident that 2023-24 will be another fantastic year here at All Souls where we are determined that all our children thrive and make the absolute most progress – academically, personally and spiritually – that they possibly can.
We can’t wait to see those smiling faces on the gate in the morning!
With love,
The All Souls’ Team
The end to this year feels different to any other as, although it’s the end of our time together in Year 5, we are fortunate enough to be with each other again next year in Year 6! We are very sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs Hands but also excited to welcome Mrs Kirrane to the team.
We had the best time today at leam Boat Centre learning how to kayak and paddle board. The day was filled with determination, bravery, fun and non-stop laughter. Well done Year 5 for making us so proud!
Our last writing lesson of the year was spent publishing a non-chronological report all about our own fictional hybrid animals. Check out the new creatures we’ve made!
We loved finding out that Mrs Hartwell and Miss McGinn will be following the children in Year 5 w as they move through to Year 6 next year. Although we will be very sad to say goodbye to Mrs Hands, we are excited to welcome Mrs Kirrane to the family!
This afternoon, we got to spend time together in the Year 6 classroom, getting to know one another a little bit more, playing games and creating some artwork! We are so excited for our next transition session and next year!
Year 5 have been busy creating their own hybrid animals this week and having enjoyed expanded the range of vocabulary they use to describe them. We are ready to get drafting these non chronological reports so you can find out all about these magnificent creatures!
Year 5 enjoyed their CO2 workshop with Conor from the CO2 crew where they learnt all about Carbon Monoxide and its dangers.
