This half term, we have been focusing on the belief that every person is created in God’s image and that all human life is sacred. We believe in the dignity of each person, who is unique and infinitely loved by God.

In Year 5, we first explored how we are all equal in God’s eyes through scripture, discussing what we can learn from it and what it means for us today as followers of God.

We then began to consider how each person is unique and irreplaceable and that we all matter. When we realised that each jigsaw was missing a piece, we learnt how vital that piece was to the whole picture and so had to convince Miss McGinn to give us them back.

We were then guided through meditation to consider what makes one another so unique before letting that person know. Not only did we appreciate all the other lovely things others had said about us, we also enjoyed putting a smile on each others’ faces.
