In Year 6, we are going to make some space in our busy lives to include regular Lectio Divinas in our classroom. As it is the Year of the Word, we are trying to help develop the children’s understanding of The Word of God. In Catholicism, Lectio Divina (Latin for “Divine Reading”) is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God’s word.
