Year 4 have had a busy first full week back at school!
This week, we began looking at Flotsam – but only the front cover! This gave the children a little tease of what might be inside and got their creativity and predictive juices flowing. We can’t wait to uncover the story that lays inside next week!
In Maths, we have been looking at the place value of digits within numbers and used celebrities earnings to help us read and write really big numbers! We got practical with our numbers as we played lots of games to really embed these essential foundations and of course, have some fun too!
We ended the week with a brilliant first lesson of orienteering. The children showed off how well they remembered all Mr Youson had taught them last year, worked really well in their teams and had A LOT of fun!

Well done to the winning team!
Well done to Liam Lewis Jones and Shaldondie who were this week’s Superstars! Have a lovely weekend.
