One day Ciaran and James went through a grey door which had a gleaming light bouncing off the paintwork. They were amazed at the sight. Cautiously they opened the stunning door and could see London, New York, Paris and Norwich. It was an incredible, magical lift. First they decided to visit London, discovering all the landmarks: Big Ben, The Shard, River Thames and Buckingham Palace. Exhausted, they returned to the magical door and decided to visit Paris, pushing the red button on the lift once again. It took five minutes! “What a brilliant adventure!” exclaimed James happily, arriving in Paris!

We have been reading your story in our Year 5 class. We really enjoyed it. We particularly liked the part where the boys walked through the gleaming door, we couldn’t wait to find out where they were going. We were also intrigued by the part where they arrived in Paris and really wanted to know what would happen next.

The golden handle turned and the door slowly, very slowly, opened but then suddenly it stopped. As if the person or thing that was opening the door had suddenly just turned away and left the door ajar, James thought someone was chasing him, they can’t have been if they just left the door ajar and walked away. “That can’t be possible,” James whispered “How can someone trap someone in a room and just walk away leaving the door ajar?” James was obviously confused in the dark, dull and dusty room with a snow white door. This was a dark celler.
The door creaked open
and sounds were heard,
the door creaked open
with not a single word.
The door creaked open
with little light,
the door creaked open
with anger and might.
The door creaked open
no angels to appear,
the door creaked open
to show great fear.
The door creaked open
to an empty room,
the door creaked open
to show anyone doom.
This door will always creak open
and always appear,
this door will always be haunted
for anyone to hear,
so this is a lesson in life to be said, look out, or you will be dead…
As she walked nonchalantly through the corridor she saw a light flickering. She turned to see a door a door with a mysterious aura about it. This door was no ordinary door although it look normal it had something special very special waiting for its lucky finder. This girl was oblivious to what was in stall for her. But would she ever find out? Does she have enough courage to explore beyond the door? Suddenly the shimmering gold door handle turned and the door opened… What happened next is not for you to know not for anyone to know ever…

It takes you to a place,

By now you should know that you must be a fool,
To open the door (at all),
For although it is only a door,
To humans, it is very cruel.
For years the door lived in its room waiting for someone to find it and use it for a good cause. You see this piece of metal wasn’t the same as any ordinary doors. It’s most extraordinary!
Some say the door leads to different worlds, though, of course, nothing can be proved until the mystery uncurls. Others say it leads you to a room flooded with gold (but first you have to get through the door and that takes someone very daring and bold)! This is due to chambers with dangerous enchantments and spells.
The door is not always safe…

a magical world,
waiting for you.
Mystical lands,
ready to explore,
all you need to do,

Amazing sights,
that will put you in awe,
as you gaze in wonder,

Dear Mum,
I’m loving it here in Wales ( the country side ). Is it scary in Coventry? Any way back on track I found a strange door in the house; I am not sure whether I should go through it. When I opened it a blinding gleaming white light shone at me! It hurt my eyes –a lot. Maybe heaven and God will come through and save us from this horrible war. The door has an astonishing amount of power and can change the world behind it. Go into it and you may never come out (since there is no way out). The door has been locked for thousands and thousands of years but now unlocked any brave human can enter. My name is Ben, Ben Norward and I am going to be the first human to enter the door. Will I succeed or fail my journey?
There was a young boy called Mark,
who spent his nights in the dark.
He sat on his bed,
with his hands on his head,
waiting for morning to start.
The door in his room was white,
the light from behind so bright.
Sleep would not come,
so he called for his mum,
who arrived like a shiny shining knight.
She stood at the door and said,
“Mark get yourself back to bed.
It’s quarter past nine,
everything is fine,

A sudden glowing light flew out of the door (which was only ajar open). What could be inside? Could it be aliens here to take us to their own scary planet, or could it be angels searching for their god. Harry didn’t know the answer to this question, but he definitely knew that he didn’t want to try and find out. What ever it was in there, it was being very quiet: strangely quiet. Then, the light grew brighter, the door opened wider and… Harry’s mum came out with yesterday’s washing in a massive, extremely messy, bundle in her hands.

As Thomas tip toed up to the mysterious 6 paneled door, the handle twisted so very slowly and it opened so fast not all the way but quarter of the way. What lay beyond the door was unknown but was soon to be found. Thomas was intrigued to find out what was behind the door. The peculiar door looked very strange. Nobody knew what was behind this door, eventually after living there for ten years Lewis decided to open the secret door in his basement that announced DO NOT ENTER ! This door could represent succes, some people will choose to stay in the empty, black, crrepy, spine tingling room… But others they will do whatever they can do; even risk there lives to have a shot at success. Many people search for the door but fail, only a few have ever made it through the door some with smiles on there face, some crying; while they are doing this the scared and the lonely are sitting helplessly in the room. That was many years ago. Still now some would do it any day… But some, actually many still shy away.
This old door has many mysteries behind the door (it will leave you confused for weeks). This door took a family on a trip of a life time…

Dear Diary,
You’ll never guess what happened today! I woke up this morning to the putrid smell of scrambled eggs. I slumped out of bed but when I opened my bedroom door, I was facing the stage of the Royal Albert Hall. I heard the faint sound of a sewing machine and the best smell ever – popcorn! Then Darcey Bussel pirouetted in like clouds. WOW! The next three hours were a bit of a blur – I got fitted into a tutu and practised a routine. Then I was told I’ll be famous!

I heard a loud noise, I wondered what it was. It could have been the door or just my thoughts… I was so anxious, I needed to find out what it was and quick, so I nervously crept towards the door, legs shaking and heart pounding what could it be. All different thoughts were racing through my head as I got to the door, I wasn’t brave enough, cautiously I tiptoed back to my bed and lay as still as sleeping beauty. When I heard the noise again. “Its mums door,” she was going into a bedroom. I was relieved!
