It was a very chilly Monday but the children were as enthusiastic as usual. Angela had dug out Oca (which is rather like a mixture between a potato and a carrot) and passed them on to cooking club. The children then set to work digging up leeks, preparing the ground, and then planting the broad beans. These should be the first vegetable to appear in the spring.
The Curly Kale was ready to be trimmed so the children set to work and the old yellow leaves where then given to the chickens. It was gobbled up in a matter of minutes!!
Great work gardeners!!
Mrs Elkins and Angela
