Gardening club have been working hard tidying the raised beds and picking the vegetables. Over the summer they have grown many juicy tomatoes, marrows and courgettes which have been passed onto cooking club and for Mrs Brennan to use in the school kitchen. The chickens have also benefited from the rotten and left over vegetables and stalks.
This week the children have been working hard to clear the raised bed in the poly tunnel and planted green beans. Then in the garden they used their muscles to dig out the old corn and placed it in the compost bins for future use. When the raised bed was clear the children planted white and red onion bulbs. We look forward to seeing them grow.
Keep up the hard work!
Mrs Elkins, Angela and Giles
