Year 4 will be visiting Bishop Ullathorne on Thursday 19th April for the Modern Foreign Languages Day.
Bishop Ullathorne have arranged the transport and will be providing lunch. Children need to be at school for normal time in full school uniform. We will be back at school before 15:00.

Happy Easter from Mrs Hartwell, Miss Fox and all of Year 4. Have a lovely break.
We ended our last afternoon of the Spring term in joint celebration with Year 3 to wish Miss Fox the very happiest of Birthdays by signing, dancing and eating yummy food and birthday cake!
It was a big one… she is now 50… but ssssshh don’t tell anyone!
A huge well done to the children in Year 3 and 4 who took us all on a reflective journey through the events of Holy Week in their performance of ‘Good News’.

Just to remind you all that it is Year 3 and Year 4’s annual Easter production performances today and this evening. We hope you can all make it!
There will be two performances: 1.30pm and 6.00pm
Please note that all children in year 3 and 4 should attend both of these performances as each child has an important role to play in piecing the play together. We would like the children to return to school for 5pm so we can get them ready and settle any last minute nerves. Thank you.
‘Good News!’
Year 3 and 4 enjoyed showing the rest of the school their Easter production of ‘Good News’ and are very excited to show all of you too so please come along to watch them as they retell the events of Holy Week.

Year 4 led a beautiful and reflective penitential service with Father Michael today, in which we listened to the Gospel to remind us of the story of Jesus in the desert and thought about times when we may not have shown love.
Thank you to Father Michael for guiding the children in their confessions. Year 4 have promised as they continue their journey of love throughout Lent, they will try very hard to make the right choices just like Jesus did.
*Thank you also to the parents at the end of the day who were very patient in waiting for the children to finish this very special time – it was greatly appreciated.
Well done to the twelve lucky children from Years 3 and 4 who have been chosen to represent All Souls at the Tokyo 2020 conference taking place tomorrow.
This exciting event is to start preparing for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Children attending this conference will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of cultural and sport workshops linked to Japan and the Olympic Games. Activities will include manga art; calligraphy, origami, ikebana, taiko drumming and martial arts. The children will create an action plan of sporting and cultural events that they would like to lead across the city. The children who attend the conference will also have the opportunity to train to be a Coventry Young Ambassador representing Coventry at major events.
The event will include a welcome speech from the Minister from the Embassy of Japan and Noel Thatcher MBE at 9.30am. They will have a live link to the Olympic Association in Tokyo and the event will also be live streamed so that you will be able to see some of activities taking place here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzHKnvyDEKspRdonugReayg/featured.
Just to remind you that all children should bring a packed lunch (preferably disposable), a bottle of water and wear their full All Souls PE kit. Children will depart school at 8.30am, so need to ensure prompt arrival in the morning, and will arrive back to school by 3pm ready for usual collection.

This week is British Science Week (9-18th March 2018)
British Science Week, run by the British Science Association, is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths.
This year’s theme is ‘Exploration and Discovery’
Due to an extremely busy Spring term so far and a very short half term until we break up for Easter with lots of exciting things to still pack in tightly, we have made the decision to move our celebrations of British Science Week into the Summer term.
That’s not to say Science won’t be celebrated this week through our usual exciting Science lessons but we want to ensure we give it the credit it is due and truly give it an All Souls’ spin! Stay tuned to find out more information about what exciting visitors we have booked, competitions you can enter, activities that we have planned and, of course, an opportunity for us to dress up!
