Children have planted beans as part of their science topic, Plants.
Each child will take responsibility for looking after their plant, ensuring it has everything it needs to grow. They will keep a diary of how their plant is doing and hopefully we will have lots of lovely beans by the end of the summer term.
Well done to the children who lead prayers during Sunday’s May Procession. A lovely occasion in glorious sunshine.
During the month of May we dedicate our prayers to Mary.
Throughout this month the children will be visiting Our Lady’s Prayer Garden for shared prayers.

Well done to the children of Year 6, for sharing a dramatic and thought provoking presentation of ‘Jesus and the Money Lenders’, during this mornings Family Mass. Many thanks to Mr Marsh and Miss Quinn for their contributions and help with script, props and costumes. As I watched I felt proud of our children. As they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, a lovely way to share with their families and the Parish the Gospel Readings.

World Book Day has begun!
Celebrating the joy and love of books and reading.
Thank you to Year 3 for a wonderful Valentine’s assembly. The children were brilliant, performing songs, some drama, presenting the facts. With lovely prayers and hymns. Finished with a flurry of confetti and a message to love on another. Well done Year 3, Miss Corkerry & Miss Fox.
We began our Lenten Journey with Ash Wednesday mass. The children behaved beautifully. Thank you to the children from Year 6 and Year 4 for reading so well and carrying the offertory.
Tank you to all the parents and family members who attended. Sharing mass together is very special.

Each morning the day begins with R.A.B. Time (reading and basic skills). The children engage in a daily challenge/activity to help basic skills. It’s a great start to our day and the children have become very independent in following the time table and beginning their challenge.

To begin our week of Safer Internet activities Year 1 joined Year 2 for an informative assembly. The children followed the story of three monsters to learn some ways to keep themselves safe while using the internet. Connecting and respect were the key messages of the day.
Each day the children will be participating in different activities to encourage safe use of the Internet.
Watch this space for daily updates. Please ask your child to share what they have learnt.
We began our topic on textiles this week. The children really engaged with paper weaving.
Then to understand the weft and warp the children created an organza wall hanging by using
human weaving.
Despite the sleet, bitter cold and rain, the girls cross country teams put in a great performance this morning. A total of 35 schools took part to run around Bablake playing fields, across a very muddy course. Our teams may not have finished within the first 3 but they all did us proud. We had runners coming in 46 and 48 out of a 157 runners. Thank you to all the parents for your encouragement and cheering.
