We had a great time in our drama workshop! We learnt more facts about The Great Fire of London through acting and role play and the day culminated in a performance to the whole school!

Thank you to the School Council for their informative assembly about anti-bullying today. They showed us that by ‘choosing respect’, we can stamp out bullying for good!

On Monday 12th, Year 1 and Year 2 are walking to the Odeon Cinema.

The children should come to school in their school uniform as normal. We ask that all children arrive at school at 8:30am as we will need to leave at 8:45am prompt. We will be back in time for lunchtime. We will provide the children with a small bag of sweets to enjoy at the cinema.

Remember that this Monday (12th) is ‘Odd Socks Day’ to mark the start of Anti-Bullying Week.

Children are invited to come into school wearing odd socks (the weirder and wackier the better) to show that although we are all different, we are all worth the same and should be treated equally.

On Monday 26th November, Year 2 will be taking part in an all-day drama workshop at school. The workshop aims to draw together all that we have learnt about the Great Fire of London and bring the topic to life through drama. This will be a fantastic and fun opportunity!

We are asking for a contribution from yourselves of £8 per child. Please make all payments through Sims Agora. Should you have any issues with using this system, please see the office for assistance. Please ensure that all payments are made by Monday 19th November.

On the morning of Monday 12th November, Years 1 and 2 will be walking to the Odeon Cinema (at the Skydome) to watch a screening of ‘Ferdinand’ as part of the Into Film Festival. This festival is a free, nationwide celebration of film & education for children and so this trip comes at no cost to yourselves. The film is rated ‘U’.

Thank you to the chaplaincy team for delivering a beautiful prayer service to Year 2. The focus was on showing this term’s Catholic virtues and  we reflected on how we can show compassion and love around the school to make our peers feel happy and loved.
