Year 2 had a great day celebrating their class saint. They had a morning of prayer and medication. Followed by a treasure hunt because he is the saint of lost things. Next, we had a party and chocolate cake to finish the day.

Victory in Europe Day: Remembering 80 Years of Peace
On May 8, 2025, Year 2 joined the nation in commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day—a pivotal moment in history when World War II ended in Europe. This day marked the cessation of hostilities against Nazi Germany and ushered in a new era of peace and rebuilding.
As we reflect on the lessons of VE Day, we are reminded of the importance of peace, unity, and remembrance. The activities undertaken not only provided historical knowledge but also fostered a sense of gratitude and connection to the past.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to making this commemoration meaningful, including our children, parents, grandparents and the local community.
Together, we ensure that the spirit of VE Day continues to inspire future generations.
As an reward for working so hard, Year 2 had ice lollies in the sun.
Year 2 had a great time at Hatton learning all about the farming year. We learnt that different crops get planted at different times and the reasons why. The children behaved beautifully and we all had lots of fun.
