Thank you to all of our friends and family for joining in our Advent Faith workshop in Y6 today. Thank you to all the children who led us in prayer and reminded us of the true meaning of this season of Advent. We were blown away with the creativity shown in creating your own Advent wreaths!

Year 6 are off to the cinema tomorrow afternoon as part of this year’s Into Film Festival to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
We will be walking to and from the Skydome Odeon. Children should be in their school uniform and bring their waterproof coats (and maybe hats and gloves just in case!).
Children may bring with them their water bottle and 1 treat: this can be crisps, popcorn, sweets or chocolate but not multipacks/sharebags please.
We will be eating our lunch on arrival to the Skydome so children should bring their packed lunch with them in disposable packaging. If your child requires a packed lunch provided by school, please let me know by the end of the day today via email: [email protected]
There is no cost for this trip. 🙂
Children from Years 5 and 6 took part in the Small School’s Indoor Sportshall Athletics Competition today. They competed in a range of events including relays, obstacle races, javelin, triple jump and many more. In total there were 12 running races, we managed to place 1st in 8 of these 2nd in two and 3rd in the final two races. This is an incredible achievement – well done everyone who ran. Unfortunately, I don’t know how we placed in the field events but I’m sure the scores were equally as impressive. Overall the team finished in 1st place, they now have to compete in the final to try and represent Coventry West in the County Finals later on in the school year. Congratulations everyone!
Some of the photos are a little blurry – they were moving way too fast for us to capture them.
The Governing Body of All Souls Catholic Primary School are publicly consulting on proposed changes to their admissions arrangements for 2025/26.
The consultation period is running for six school weeks, commencing on Monday 13th November 2023 and ending on Sunday 24th December 2023.

A summary of the proposed changes to the existing policy, for the academic year 2025/26 are as follows:
Oversubscription Criteria
“… a member of staff working for All Souls Catholic Primary School is defined as an individual who has been employed by All Souls Catholic Primary School for two or more years prior to the application being submitted or where the staff member has been recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.”
‘Gerald the giraffe’ thoroughly enjoyed supporting the children in writing their character descriptions. He is a very shy and clumsy giraffe called Gerald from the book Giraffes can’t Dance by Giles Andreae.
They wrote their character descriptions and published them onto fancy paper with additional giraffe body parts to enhance them further! Year 6 really enjoyed sharing and really made the Year 2 children feel proud of their work. Great job All Souls children!
With just a few weeks left until the much anticipated trip to Dol y Moch, I thought it would be a good idea to send out a few reminders:
Dates: Friday 10th November – Tuesday 14th November 2023
