Owen and Andy, both in Year 5, braved 3km of cargo nets, walls, swamps, A-frames, tunnels, water slides and lots of mud during the Iron Run Juniors event in Kettering. The pair were determined to finish the race to raise hundreds of pounds in memory of Jack.

Jack’s family started the charity ‘Jack’s Room’ to raise the money needed for University Hospital to provide a permanent room within the hospital to offer bereaved parents a private and quiet place to spend time with their child following his or her passing.

The boys had trained for months to prepare for the race held on May 2nd, spending every spare hour running, climbing, swimming, taking part in obstacle courses and doing extra sports.

All their hard work and effort paid off as they raised well over £500 for Jack’s Room.
