Congratulations to the girl’s football team for reaching the Finals of the 4-a-side football tournament yesterday. The girls played and won all 4 league games against Stoke Heath, Holbrooks, St. Lawrence and Whitmore Park meaning that they have now qualified for the finals on Tuesday 23rd February.
For many of the girls it was their first experience of playing in a competitive game but they didn’t let it show as they dominated most of the games from start to finish. They managed to score a remarkable 14 goals in their 4 matches and because of tight defending and excellent goalkeeping only conceded 2.
Well done girls and good luck in the finals.
On Tuesday 9th February the boy’s team will be trying to emulate the girls and qualify for the finals night.
