The children enjoyed more outdoor learning and adventures in the forest school area this afternoon. We took our learning in science about plant classification outdoors, we were on the hunt for deciduous and evergreen trees, flowering and non-flowering plants and we were not disappointed. The children then to used their investigations in a practical sorting activity too.
Running alongside these investigations, we were thinking about the colder weather and winter approaching and how we can help our local wildlife. We decided to put all of the empty toilet roll donations (thank you) into use to make bird feeders. We will be doing some bird spotting over the next few weeks to see what different breeds we attract.
