We have been very busy in Reception this week. The children have been exploring one more and one less. We used frogs and lily pads and ladders to help us understand if we added or took one away. 
The children understood one more very well and some are also getting good at one less. Well done all for working hard.
We are practising writing our names, we copy our names every morning and have worked with an adult so that our letters all start from the correct place. We have also started to make our Christmas cards and calendars.
In RE we have been making promises for Advent. We wrote our names on a candle. Some of these are in the photographs below. 
Next week we are going to practise writing numbers and find out more about Advent and the Christmas story.
