The Nursery children celebrated an early Mother’s Day inviting their mummies, nannies and aunties to share tea and cakes. We sang songs and gave them gifts to let them know how special they are to us.
Happy Mothers Day to all.

We have been exploring the season of winter in Nursery. We have been making snowmen, snowflakes, making trails in snow and exploring the animals who live in the snow and cold. We have also been matching numeral to quantity in our mathematics sessions.

The children came back excited to tell us all about Christmas. We shared our news with our friends, We are this term exploring Winter, Our Feelings, Floating and Sinking and consolidating numbers to 5. We have made snowmen, snowflakes and explored small world snow play creatures. The are hoping they see some real snow outside soon!

We visited the church today for the Baptism of Baby Thomas by Father Paul. The children were the parents and the Godparents and found out all about what goes on during the service and why. Baby Thomas was given a Baptismal Candle. Thank you Father Paul for helping the children understand the Sacrament of Baptism.

This week Nursery have been learning how to keep safe on the roads. We practiced crossing the road and talked about how to find a safe place to cross. We all were given a reflector so that the cars can see us in the dark. We had fun riding our scooters and bikes safely on the play ground.

We shared a prayer service to thank God for all the wonderful things He made. We made pictures using the leaves and twigs we found. We sang Happy birthday to our friend. Thank you for our sweets!

We tried pineapple, passion fruit, coconut, blueberries, raspberries, sharon fruit and figs. the pineapple was our favourite. In the morning we took part in the mini marathon and talked about how exercise is good for our bodies.
