The golden key, sitting in the wavy green grass, was the key To a magical castle. This key was lost one day and was never found again. It was in a pocket of a young girl named Biff, she was running along a field with her brothers, Chip and Kipper, they were chasing their dog Floppy. When suddenly, bang it was gone, it had fallen out of her pocket. That day Biff went home, looked in her pocket, but she could not find the key, so she got really upset, ran upstairs, into her bedroom and sulked on her bed.

The ancient key lay alone on the grass as it glowed from the bright beams of sunlight reflecting down onto it. This: golden, jagged, metal treasure was enchanted and I assume it was not very precious as it was left unwanted and forggoton about on the grass. The key looked very intricate and detailed with some blurred lettering written on the handle of this rusty piece of equipment (a key). This ancient key was very old because it looked like it had been handled a lot and it was becoming quite rusty. I wonder what this key leads to…

  4. The key in the grass,
    Is a long old tale,
    It started a while back,
As a key for a jail.

    It then moved on,
    It travelled abroad,
    It was used to open,
    A pirate’s hoard.

    The key then caused,
    A massive uproar,
    It was used to open,
    A palace door.

    The key was strange,
    And oh so tragic,
    As it could be used,
    To summon sorcerers’ magic.

    People then realised,
The key was against the law,
    As it could open,
    Any door.

    The key was then chucked,
    Goodbye, alas,
    And that’s how it became,
    The key in the grass

Niamh and James were cleaning grandma’s attic. Whilst dusting the shelves, James’ wrist banged into a key that immediately jumped to the floor. Clang! He looked at it and then beckoned Niamh to come over. It was as dusty as old books. Niamh called to Grandma and in no time at all she appeared in the room. James told her what he had found and asked Grandma what the key was for. Grandma told them, “It was when my friends and I were walking through a field that we first found the key; little did we know the secrets beyond…”

Unlocks a treasure, nowhere to be seen.
Gold as a ring, cold as ice,
In a field full of mice.

They say it once belonged to a king,
    Who loved his rings.
He was walking home one day,
When his key got lost in this hay.

    Till this very day,
A boy no older than ten found this treasure they say.
    Through a forest, during sunrise,
He came across a field, consisting this sacred prize.

So if you ever come across a key
Never leave it alone and let it be.

There it lay. A green carpet of grass cushioning it. Sun rays reflected of it’s gold body. As Jeff went to pick it up, a cold shiver ran down his spine. Grasping it in his hand, Jeff examined key further. It looked the exact same as the picture of the key to Black Beards treasure in his history book. The Sun, which was abnormaly hot that day, reflected of the key, forming the shape of an arrow and that ‘arrow’ pointed towards a sheet of paper on the ground. When he approached the paper, Jeff realised, it was…a map!

Here lies a key in the grass.
    Some say it’s magic.
With swirls like petals, blowing away.
The golden key, shines in the beaming sunlight.

Here lies a key in the grass.
Grass as green, as can be; swaying in the soft cool breeze.
As the green rope, rises up and around the key.

Here lies a key in the grass.
Magical and mysterious, like on a carpet ride.
It twists and turns, in and out.
Who knows what door it opens.

    No key in the grass.
For it has been picked up
and ready to have an adventure…

    Waiting,Waiting,Waiting,
Waiting as summer goes and winter comes,
    Waiting in the breeze,
    Waiting in storms,
    Waiting to find an owner,
In this lonely patch of wood,
Waiting for someone to find me,
    To unlock something good
Waiting to reveal the treasures hidden within the tomb
Waiting for someone to find the secrets deep inside that room
Waiting for the click of the lock
    The sliding of the bolt
Waiting for someone to stop in their tracks,
    To come to a halt
But now i must allow my thoughts to rest
    Because i’m still Waiting,Waiting,Waiting.

Lots of keys do lots of things. However this old rusted battered silver key brought brilliant memories to one adoring family. Founded in a long blanket of grass, fourteen years ago, by the youngest of the pack, this mysterious key came to life. Leading the way, the key to happiness drove them on all sorts of adventures: from New York to Paris and to Spain they enjoyed every moment. Sadly some adventures they wanted to forget-quickly-. Having had enough of the peculiar key; they decided to place it back in its original space. Ready for another family to find…

  22. Benjamin SHAW

There it was, the antediluvian, rusty key that could unlock the secret of the infinitely expanding universe, just lying there on a bed of cold, dewy, moss and smooth, thin grass. It had been lying there for centuries slowly being covered in mud, sand and rock until one year: the most wet, clammy, humid, foggy, cold and snowy year in all history: all the mud, sand and stone corroded leaving the key in plain site. One cold, miserable, dull, wet day a man at the age of 26 was walking home from a hard day when he saw the key…

  23. Henryk TIGBE

When you notice an aurous abandoned key,
    You probably come to think:
“I wonder what this key unlocks,
It’s as large as an ice rink.”

But have you ever realised that this somehow unusual key,
Might have belonged to someone who treasured it, I suppose.
And someone got in serious trouble,
When forgetting it’s value – the entry to… who knows?

Is it to a perpetual paradise; where people’s smiles are as wide as the skies!
A dangerous dungeon (where fewer people survive than perish).
Nobody knows what this key reveals,
But finding out is knowledge you’ll cherish.

    To be continued…

Suddenely, out of the blue, frightening figures gathered. The spy got ready to fight but more and more approached, by the minute. She froze before feeling a mountain of air tickeling her neck. Not daring to look behind her, she sped as fast as she could . As head quarters became visible, she breathlessly leaped up the stairs into Colonel Clog’s office.
“I was chased, sir,” quivered the girl-slowly.
“By who?” qeustioned the man in the spooky cloak.
” I dont know!” replied the spy. But I still have the key!” Doubtfully gasping, she noticed that she had lost the key! The spy, shivered giltily.

    The Key in the Grass
The sharp whiskeers of mellow heather blew in the misty dusk air. Whithin the carpet lay a musty key, weathered and ruined. It had a hooked end and a circular handle. Inside the circle were eight lines; each to represent the eight sorcerous of elementle powers who protected the world against evil when needed. The key was kept away from human kind to ensure the powers were not used badly or incorrectly. Only the sorcerous could touch it- or else people would have more than power stronger than their magic; but the key to anywhere imaginable. The key, however, was chucked away.

    The key in the grass

    The morning sun beating down,
as I left the confines of the town.

My daily walk that set’s me free,
today led me to a magic key.

Lying there in the grass o green,
the key stood out with it’s golden sheen.

Could this be from a time of old?
That leads me to some pirates gold?

Or could it unlock a hidden story,
full of mystery, suspence or something gory?

Unless I collect this unusual key,
and research the facts to set them free.

The answer to these questions will remain unknown,
the history, adventure and secrets not shown.
