Thank you for all your donations on Friday, the children were pleased to be able to help provide food for those not as lucky as themselves. We took our tins into the hall to add to the donations from school.
We had a busy week continuing our work on shapes, and starting to explore books with rhyming words. Two children each week will now take home the rhyme pack with books to share with parents. This really helps children to start to understand rhyme and alliteration and is hopefully a fun way of spending ten minutes at bedtime. The children went in small groups around the school spotting shapes in the environment, they found circles on the netball posts, rectangle signs and square windows. We also have been working on sharing and taking turns with games and equipment and making sounds with different kinds of instruments in our phonic sessions.
