Kensue’s Kingdom By Michael Morpurgo
The story starts when the mum and dad lose their jobs and decide to sail around the world taking their son, Michal and their dog with them ( the dog’s name is Stella Artois).
They had lots of adventures on the way-one time Michal fell overboard when his parents were asleep and he swam to an island and found a cave, where he stayed for a long time and met a crazy old man called Kensuke.
At the end of the story Micheal was rescued from the island by his parents who had been looking for him for a long time.
I enjoyed the book because I like the author Michael Morpurgo and the characters in the book and their adventures during their trip around the world.
I would tell my friends that this was an amazing book and it is famous for also being a film
Kensukes kingdom, this book is about a boy Michael, his mum and dad, and dog Stella. They all set off on a worldwide sailing journey, they have a great adventure until Michael accidentally falls of the boat onto a peculiar island. The adventures there are wild for example, he meets an unknown man, Kensukie who bans lighting fires, going on one half of the island or swimming in the sea because it would attract worries. I would change the Japanese language of kensuke because it is impossible to understand. It is nonfiction until the middle where it turned fiction because kensuki the island and the storyline is fiction. My faviroute character is Eddie Dobbs he’s Michael’s best friend also this book has a reasonable price of £5.54 I would recommend this book if it was shorter. well done Mhicle Morporgo!
I Think the book was good because it had adventure And i would say it had mystery as well i think it was better then flotsam but flotsam had more imagination then kensuke kingdom but kensuke kingdom had words michael went to australia and Africa then michaels mum had belly cramps in brazil and it was something that she ate.i would change the Japanese language to spanish so you could understand some words i would say my faviroute character was propbly michael I would make the book shorter michael was not allowed to make fires and swim in the sea because it would attract killer men.
kensuke would not let michael on his side untl the end of the story when they were really good freinds I think the book price is 6.50 awsome work michael morporgo.

the book is about a boy that falls of the peggy sue and he ends up on a island with a crazy, soopky, old and scary and kuwkuw man the man talks werid he saids demad he said no fire .i did’t enjoy it i think it was boring a little bit i think that it could of make it better a lot becase i thout thier was to much descripticn and detal .i wouldt reccamed it to you guys out thier but try to see what you think but i don’t recamed it. The book is called Kensukes Kingdom, it is written by Michael Morpurgo.
The book begins by Michael and his family going on a trip around the world.
Michael and his dog Stella fell of the boat which is called the peggy sue onto a deserted Island. On the island they met a crazy old man called Kensuke. He told Michael that he couldn’t light a fire or swim in the sea because it was too dangerous.
After almost a year on the island, Michael was found by his parents. When they had to leave Kensuke was very sad.
I would recommend this book to my friends as it was full of mysteries and I really enjoyed it.

Kensuke’s Kingdom is a wild adventurous book about a family that decides to go on a boat trip around the world .There is Michael his mum and dad also his dog Stella. Michael accidentally fell of a boat and landed on a slender island he met a man. He told him no fire not to go on his end of the island and no swimming. He missed his parents a lot until they finally found him again. I liked this book because its a descriptive and interesting story, i would recommend it and i would give it 5 stars.

Kensukes Kingdom By Michael Morpurgo
I feel that the book was exciting because it was an futuristic adventure about a boy (Michael) who gets stranded on an island with a man. He was no ordinary man he is a crazy Japanese man who looks like a wrinkled elf. Michael is annoyed because he is band from three things lighting fire, swimming and going on “Kensukes” half of the island . I would have prefered it if it had a few more illustrations in it. My favourite part was when he got washed up on the shore after being stung by a translucent deadly-defying jellyfish and Kensuke coated him in a soft blanket on the shimmering sand. He took him into his spectacular cave that Michael had been wanting to see since he got on the island. Kensuke has a rather sad background he had two children Kimi and Michiya who he expects are dead from when the Americans came to attack Japan. People said that everyone is dead in Nagasaki (where he used to live). When Michaels parents find him they offer Kensuke to come and live with them but he passed because he didn’t want the Americans to find him. He felt safer on the island since he could take shelter in his inspiring cave like he did when they came to camp on the island.
Over all is thought it was a very good book and I would recommend this to children age 8+. I give this book 4 and a half stars.

4.11.15 Book Review On Kensuke’s Kingdom By Michael Morpurgo.
The book is about a boy named Michael who disappeared the night before his 12th birthday when he fell off a boat named the Peggy Sue. He got washed up on an island in the Pacific Ocean, so he slept in a cave he found. When he woke up the next morning, there is a bowl of fresh water, and a plate of fish. He only just realised he is not alone. With him was somebody named Kensuke, who was from Japan. Kensuke’s story was when he was at war. He was a doctor on board a ship, when it was Japan vs. America. His ship was bombed and he was the only one that had survived. He couldn’t do anything really, because he couldn’t steer ships. So the ship went where ever it wanted to go it wanted to go, while Kensuke listened to the radio. The radio said that a bomb was dropped on where his family lived. Kensuke felt worried that his family died. A few days later, the radio said that Japan surrendered. “Japan has lost the battle”, Kensuke thought to himself. Another few days later, the ship stopped at the island Kensuke lives on nowadays. He brought all the food and water left over on the ship onto the island and found a cave further away from Michael’s, when Michael wasn’t on the island. He enjoyed being on his own for a while. One day he went fishing, but a strong wind carried him out to sea. He tried to get back to his island, but the current was too strong. One night, when he was out at sea, he sung to himself to calm down. At that moment though, he heard some more singing. He saw somebody bobbing on the water, in the sea. It was Michael. So Kensuke was the one that dragged Michael onto the dry land. They were friends for a long time. They played football, went fishing together and had very good days, but then Michael had to leave, because his parent’s had found him. Kensuke felt very happy for Michael. So, as they said goodbye, they waved to each other until Kensuke couldn’t see Michael, and Michael couldn’t see Kensuke.
I enjoyed this book a lot, because I liked it when Michael and Kensuke where good friend’s, doing everything together.
I recommend this book for my friends Samuel and Lia, who live in Solihull, and Benjamin, who lives in Birmingham

This Mysterious,mind-blowing,adventure book is amazing especially for people with expanded imaginations.
For those of you who have not read this book it about a 22-year old man telling the story of how he went missing when he was 12.
His family decides that they should go on a sailing trip around the world . Once they sail past Australia he falls overboard with his dog Stella-Artois him and Stella meet a strange man named Kensuke who turns out to be friendly.
I know how this book ends and I don’t want to be a spoiler but I do recommend you read this book

I like this book because it was detailed (Micheal got washed up on a elongated peanut, He ate a red juicy banana) I felt like as if i was eating the banana in real life but when Micheal fell of the boat into the waving current with basking sharks in the water but then Micheal fainted and when he woke up he was on a mysterious island and Micheal finds a good spot to set a fire. I like this book because Micheal`s parents come to look for Micheal and find him! I would rate this book five stars.

My book review of Kensuke’s Kingdom
Author: Michael Morpurgo.
Kensuke’s Kingdom is a very interesting book and is about a 22 year old boy Michael narrating with a bit of illustrations this is a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat but not a horror making you think that something bad is going to happen. I like Michael Morpurgo’s style of in this book putting most chapters English and others a different language with words like dameda~forbbiden and gomensia~sorry. I would absolutely recommend this book to others. There is nothing that I would change in this book not even a letter that I could change it is perfect. Eventually when actually read the book a couple of times you can feel all the emotions that Michael felt on the voyage, when he fell off the boat ect. If it was possible I would have given this book 50/5 in stars but I am going to give it a 5 out of 5.
