Had a brilliant afternoon with Year 5 & 6 at Planet Ice yesterday. They were probably the most resilient bunch of children I’ve taken. By the end of the afternoon, everyone was skating (no side clinging!) and falls to the floor were slightly less frequent. What impressed me most was the determination of the children. Lots of them fell over and hurt themselves, but they all got back up, carried on and, in most cases, smiled!
We also completed the walk to and from school in record time, although I think that was perhaps more down to the rain than anything else.
Thanks to all of the adults, including parents, who came and supported the children.
