As we enter into the Spring Term, Year 6 will be expected to complete more homework tasks in addition to their usual spelling and timestables practice in preparation for their statutory assessments which will take place in May.
One of these might be in the form of an online spelling, punctuation and grammar revision test. The children have completed a practice one of these today in pairs to practise logging on, completing and submitting the test.
Children will be told and a post will be put on the website when a new test has been set and when it is due in for. Each child needs to log on to www.spag.com with their individual username and password that they have been given today. If a child loses their login details, it is essential that they come and let me know before the test is due.Likewise, if anyone experiences technical difficulties, please let me know – there are laptops available for use in the Learning Hub.
Once logged on, children will be able to see the test that I have set them and complete this in their own time before the date due. They are able to review their answers before submitting them and once they are submitted see which ones they got incorrect – this can serve as a valuable revision tool.
