Year 6 continued their local heritage study at the War Memorial Park today. They attended the ‘Tale of Two Soldiers’ session, based on two local soldiers who fought in World War 1. The children broadened their knowledge of WW1 and WW2, as well as learning about the impact that it had on the local area. After the session, the children had the chance to go inside the cenotaph and
explore some more of the memorials within the park, learning about who they were dedicated to.
