This afternoon in Year One we learnt all about Saint Valentine. We then made some art inspired by Kandinsky. We worked really hard on our brush control to create some beautiful patterns. After that, we made cards for the people that we love and thanked God for having these people in our lives.
Today Year One have been putting their senses to the test! We had a go at guessing what different items we could smell. We then taste tested different food to see which were sweet, salty, savoury and sour. Then we tried to complete a puzzle without using our sight. We realised how hard it was!

Year One loved getting back out into forest school this afternoon!
Year One enjoyed their trip to the library this morning. We loved spending time exploring lots of exciting books with our friends. The library staff also commented on how respectful and polite the children were, what excellent role models!

Year One had so much fun creating their own stable scenes in RE earlier this week. They worked so well in their teams and the results were fantastic! This afternoon year one have been thinking about how they can follow in Jesus’ footsteps. We talked about how we can be more like Jesus by always being kind to everyone. We then made our learning partners a friendship bracelet as a reminder of how we can be more like Jesus.
