Happy Friday from Year 4!

By Mrs J Hartwell8th September 2017

Wow! What a fantastic start Year 4 have had to this new school year.

It has been great fun getting to know eachother even better, welcoming a new friend into our class and starting our learning journey with lots of positive attitudes and smiles.

We ended our first week with celebrations for Mary’s Birthday by sharing a class liturgy to remind ourselves of the story of the birth of Mary our Mother, visiting the Church garden to pray to the statue of Our Lady and offer Her some gifts and returning to the classroom to sing Happy Birthday and play some traditional birthday games!

Thank you for a brilliant first week back Year 4! A particular well done to Liam G and Ethan who were awarded this week’s Superstars for being fabulous role models to the rest of the school!  Keep it up!

Ackers – Year 6

By Mrs J Hartwell12th July 2017

Hi all,

Thanks for those of you who have paid and consented for Ackers tomorrow.

Some of you have paid but it’s not showing up as consented so please could you write on a bit of paper that you consent for your child (name) to go to Ackers Adventure on the 13th July and sign it.

Please can you ensure you make your payment through sims agora as soon as possible.

Children are coming home today with a slip of paper that tells you what time they are travelling on the minibus tomorrow. I am sorry if I was not able to accommodate your requests. It will also remind them of what they need to wear and bring with them.

Any questions, please ask.

Thank you!

Summer Festival and Parish Garden Party

By Mrs J Hartwell28th June 2017

Our annual Summer Festival and Parish Garden Party takes place this Sunday 2nd July. There will be the usual 9.30am Sunday mass, followed by a celebratory 11.15am mass which will include some children leading parts of it. This mass will be followed by a get together in the Presbytery Garden of All Souls’ Church where you are all invited to come along, play some games, bring food and drinks to share a picnic and enjoy the parish gala celebrations together.

As we have mentioned in the newsletters over the last couple of weeks, we would love to see as many children as possible at the 11.15am service to support us with various parts of the mass. We ask that children in the choir congregate together to join their voices as one and boost this joyous occasion. They will also perform a hymn unaccompanied.

On Friday 30th June, we are inviting children to come into school wearing non uniform and in return bring in a bottle that will go towards the free bar at the garden party.

Nursery/Reception – cans/bottles of Budweiser

Year 1 – cans of carling

Year 2 – cans of John Smiths (bitter)

Year 3 – cans of cider

Year 4 – bottles of white wine

Year 5 – bottles of rose wine

Year 6 – bottles of red wine

Please help us support our parish community in this celebration. We hope to see as many of our families there as possible. A letter has come home with children today; please complete and return the attached reply slip.

Thank you for your continued support.

The children will be walking to Bablake School on Tuesday 11th July. We will be leaving school at 9.15am and returning in time for lunch. Please could you ensure that your child is wearing appropriate clothing according to the type of day i.e. wet weather coats, or in the unlikely event of sunshine, sun hats and sun-cream!

If your child needs an inhaler or medication, please make sure they bring it with them.

Please complete the form attached and return back to school as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Mrs Hartwell
