Year 6 are going to wear their leavers’ hoodies to mass tomorrow so the children have been told that they can come to school in non-uniform. They should have a t-shirt on to wear underneath their hoodie. For those Year 6s wanting to coordinate what they are wearing, remember the hoodies are grey! I’m sure they’ll all look fab!
Please ensure that Year 5 & 6 children are taken to Bablake school on Monday morning and collected from there between 3:30 and 3:45 pm. See below the full details of important information for next week.
Monday 9th July:
Meet at Bablake school for 8.45am. I will be there from 8:15am for any children who need to be dropped off earlier. They will need to be picked up from Bablake School between 3.30pm and 3.45pm. Children should bring a packed lunch in a disposable carrier bag and a bottle of water with them. If your child is entitled to a school packed lunch, please let their class teacher know.
Tuesday 10th July:
Meet at Bablake school for 8.45am. I will be there from 8:15am for any children who need to be dropped off earlier. They will need to be picked up from Bablake School between 3.30pm and 3.45pm. Children should bring a packed lunch in a disposable carrier bag and a bottle of water with them. If your child requires a school packed lunch, please let their class teacher know.
The performance starts at 7pm so they need to be back at Bablake School between 6-6.15pm. For those parents not staying to watch, your child needs to be collected at 9.30pm.
Wednesday 11th July:
Children should come to All Souls’ as normal in the morning.
The performance starts at 5pm (not 7pm as originally stated). Therefore, we ask that all children have a school dinner at lunchtime and bring a packed lunch with them to eat at Bablake before the performance. Children will stay at school at the end of the day, then walk to Bablake, accompanied by a group of school staff. Please ensure that your child is collected from Bablake no later than 7pm.
** If your child attends before school or after school club and you cannot arrange transport to suit these times as a result, please let me know.
Important:
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email [email protected] or alternatively leave a message at school and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Mr Marsh and Miss Frearson
Dear Parents,
For those of you who have bought tickets, or are planning to buy tickets for the Year 6 & 5 end of year play at Bablake, please note that the performance on Wednesday 11th July will begin at 5pm (not 7pm as it states on the tickets).
The performance on Tuesday 10th will go ahead as planned at 7pm.
This change has been made in light of the possibility that England could reach the semi-final of the world cup and be playing at the time that they performance was originally planned to take place. We would be very grateful if you could pass this message on to anyone who may have tickets for the show but does not receive letters/updates from school.
We apologies for any inconvenience this changes causes, please note that this is being done in the best interest of the children who deserve to perform the show, that they have worked hard to prepare, to a full theatre.
Thank you for your understanding.
Many thanks,
Mr Marsh and Miss Frearson
Unfortunately there is no TriGolf again this week (21.6.18).
We should be back to normal next week.
Thanks,
Mr Marsh.
The Year 5&6 end of year play performances will take place on the evenings of 10th and 11th July at Bablake. More details on this will follow soon.
Year 6 have a very brief homework task this weekend. They should follow the link below and watch the video titled ‘Taking Flight’ in preparation for writing a story on Monday. Children are going to write a short story that is loosely based on the video, but they should think of their own exciting adventures that the boy and Grandpa could go on.
They do not need to do any writing or drafting, only think of some ideas in preparation to begin on Monday.

Update: Year 6 London Trip – 14th June 2018
As you are aware, Year 6 will be visiting London on Thursday 14th June (this week). I would like to update you all on some important parts of the day:
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to speak to me or contact Mrs Cannon in the school office.
Many thanks and kind regards,
Mr Marsh
There will be no TriGolf after school on Thursday 14th June. This is because Year 6 will be visiting London and I will be arriving back at school late.
Apologies for any inconvenience.
Mr Marsh.
Year 6 were treated to a great showing of Annie at the Belgrade Theatre yesterday. We were all so impressed with the production and it was fantastic to see Julia up on stage.
Well done Julia!!
