Due to our busy week next week, we will be changing reading books on Thursday only.

Can I also remind you that we need consent and payment for the zoo trip before Tuesday next week. On Monday the children will wear normal uniform, but on Wednesday they should wear warm clothing, including coats, hats, scarfs and gloves, along with the school tracksuit and wellies.

On Monday 11th November, Year 2 will be walking to the Albany theatre to see The Gruffalo and Zog.

• Children to arrive in school promptly as we will be departing All Souls’ at 9.00am to walk to the Albany.
• Wear full school uniform (including jumpers) and have a warm waterproof coat on – it will most probably be raining at some point!
• Please wear appropriate footwear (we do not want soggy feet!)
• 1 x snack (individual sized) and 1 x drink (no cans please)
• Children will be back in school for lunch time

This trip is free of charge.

The homework studies assignment is being sent out this afternoon:

Year 2 ~ Home Study Task 2 ~ A Country in Africa

Choose a country in Africa to research and study.

Focus on one aspect or several aspects e.g. food, transport, homes, education. Represent it in your chosen way.

Due: Wednesday 11th December

. Please remember to send your child with a pair of wellies on Monday!

On Monday 4th November, the children will be walking to Lake View Park to test out the two different types of boat that we have made this year. We will be going down for an hour in the morning. Please ensure your child is wearing appropriate footwear including wellies if possible because of the time of year! They also need a warm coat.

Please let me know if you would like to join us! It will be around 10-11am.
