Today Year 3 and 4 were following on from last weeks lesson and learning how to travel in different ways over, under and through apparatus. They then had to create different balances on the apparatus that used 1,2 and 3 body parts.

We have played two games since returning after the Christmas Holidays and both games were very tough.
The first was against Our Lady of the Assumption, this was a very close game with both sides creating lots of chances. Unfortunately, it was Our Lady of the Assumption that managed to turn one of their chances into a goal and they ended up winning 1-0.
The second game was against and unbeaten Christ the King team. From the start All Souls were full of energy and tried to stop any of the Christ the King players from settling on the ball. They managed to do this for the entire game stopping them from creating too many clear cut chances and when they did Tom, our goalkeeper, was in excellent form to save their shots. Throughout the game we also created some some chances of our own but again their goalkeeper was in excellent form to save all of our efforts. It ended 0-0 and was probably a fair result.
Great effort by all!
We are now currently in 5th position in the league just 2 points from 2nd place. If you wish to look at the league and for more information about any of the Coventry Catholic School Sports that take place then please visit the link below.
Last Tuesday 4 boys and 4 girls took part in an indoor rowing competition at the Excel Centre. They all had to row individually as far as they could in 90 seconds, they all managed to get very close to or over 300m which is a fantastic score. Reece managed to get the highest overall score with 326m whist Aila managed to row for 308m getting the girls highest score.
After a short break the girls joined together to row for 4 minutes as a team swapping over every minute, they managed great score of over 800m. The boys followed rowing nearly 850m in their 4 minutes.
After all the children were extremely exhausted but were soon re-energized when they found out they beaten all of the other teams there and were currently in first place across West Coventry with just 4 schools left the compete. They are now eagerly awaiting to find out if they finished in first to see if they get to represent West Coventry in The School Games Finals later in the year.
Well done to everyone involved, it was a great team performance.
