Reception have also been learning 3D shape names:

This week learning has been linked to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have read the story, re-enacted it in the role play area, sequenced the story, learnt a song and dance and even made porridge too! The children have really enjoyed all of the activities.

We have been hearing and saying the initial sound of words.

We have created shape pictures and have been talking about their properties.

The children thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as doctors, nurses and patients and raising money for start a heart.
This week Reception have been learning the names of common 2D shapes. They have been matching, making shape pictures, colouring shape pictures and cutting and sticking shape dinosaurs.

Children have been enjoying making, creating, exploring and role playing with the cardboard boxes.

This week children have been practicing their fine motor skills and their letter formation.

Reception enjoyed dressing in bright colours today. They all contributed a food item and a £1. They knew they were giving to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Unfortunately the Tuesday Trip Fund finished in the summer term and will no longer be available. Sorry for any confusion.
The £1 voluntary contribution can be made via the box in the reception class cloakroom.
