After a great night sleep last night, the children went out on their second day of adventures.
Group D took on kayaking on the lake and pushed themselves to the limit by taking on the infamous Dol-y-moch dive. After lunch, they went off on a rock scramble on a local beach and independently navigated the route to get to the beach. Despite getting a little lost along the way, they preserved and ended up at the beautiful Borth-y-gest beach.
Group E went wild canoeing on the river this morning. Working in teams, they navigated down stream despite facing tricky wind and current conditions. Having stopped for a hot chocolate, we were entertained by two members of our team who treated us to an Irish dancing lesson and we were pushed to join in and dance in our canoes with them. In the afternoon we visited Borth-y-gest beach and took part in some rock climbing on natural rock formations and took in the glorious scenery as the sun was setting over the coast.
Group F had a day of exploring different ecosystems around the local area including woodland and beach. In the morning they had to independently use maps to navigate around the woodland and find their way from one point to another, it was tricky to keep upright in some places so teamwork was key. The afternoon was spent enjoy Criccieth Beach, exploring nature’s treasures and paddling in the sea, finished off with an ice cream (Thanks Mr C).
We finished the day trying to escape the Labyrinth by working in teams!
