What a lovely day spent at Brandon Marsh! We learnt all about bees, flowers and navigation as well as building our own dens, exploring and taking risks.
Big thank you to All Sorts who allowed 10 of our children to borrow their hats for the scorching hot temperatures and the children who happily shared their suncream – it was a huge help! Well done to Year Three for great behaviour today, we all learnt lots!
A reminder to all parents about the trip to Brandon Marsh tomorrow.
Please ensure your child arrives at school promptly tomorrow with a sunhat and suncream as well as their lunch for the day. The temperatures are set to hit 29 degrees tomorrow and we will be outside for most of the day; please make sure they have a water bottle and have had suncream applied before they arrive at school as well as bringing it with them.

Year Three have had a brilliant day celebrating their Holy Communions all together. The mass was beautiful with the whole school there as witness to the sacrament the children undertook. We had professional photos taken in school and these will be made available for you to buy over the next few weeks. We then had some chill time and are now currently watching a film chosen by the children and digging in to ice lollies and doughnuts.
May I take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the staff at All Souls who have supported each and every event. To the incredible children who read at the masses, helped to fold and print booklets, sang beautifully and made lovely cards for the children. To Mr Cooke who played the piano at the masses. To Father Michael for celebrating the masses with us and his support throughout the sacramental journey. To Mrs McGowan for helping to arrange our Holy Communions and her support throughout out faith journey. To Miss Fox for helping us to prepare and being a great support throughout this year. To Mrs Quinn who provided so much support, came to all of our sacramental preparation sessions and celebrated our Communions with us – Thank you for always guiding us down the right path.
Finally, to you, their parents who supported them throughout it all and for your continued support of our work here at school.

A tricky game tonight in the City Cup against Saint Peter and Paulās. A hard start took All Souls down to 0 – 3 but the team rallied together and they played their best coming back with a vengeance in the second, third and fourth quarter with a finishing score of 7 – 5 to All Souls. A brilliant game! Congratulations to Caleb who was named man of the match and Connor who was captain for the first time.

What a fun filled, active and incredibly busy week we have had in year three! Our week began with a reflective theme running throughout from our dress rehearsal for the Easter Play followed by a prayer service with Year One. We split into two groups and had an extended prayer service discussing why we say sorry and how it feels to be forgiven. The children reflected on the story of the Prodigal Son and we spoke about how we make wrong choices sometimes. The children wrote these occasions we had made the wrong choice on bubbles and we all asked God for forgiveness for these.
As reflective as the first part of the week was, the last day made up for in sporting activity. From running laps around the playground for sports relief to a cricket session with All Stars Cricket we are well and truly tired out and ready for a good sleep this weekend.
Thank you to the amazing support of parents and family for our Easter performances this week! The children were brilliant and we are so proud!
